How long after you shampoo your hair, can you put highlights in it?

I dyed my hair last night and its a mess. lol Needless to say I need to put highlights in it to even out all the colors. If I wash my hair, and wait practically all day... is it safe to put highlights in later tonight? OR can I just o it after I dry my hair and what not?How long after you shampoo your hair, can you put highlights in it?

You can add highlights as soon as it's dry. Just make sure to condition well after doing it. Highlighting does dry out the hair.How long after you shampoo your hair, can you put highlights in it?
First question? How dry/damaged is your hair? If it is not too damaged, you are fine to go ahead and add your hi-lights. At anytime. If your scared it is too damaged, I would do some deep conditioning for a few days prior. Hope this helps. Goodluck!
