What could be wrong with my heart?

Every few months, I got a sharp pain in the left side of my chest. It was so painful that I was forced to take shallow breaths. Either right before or right after this sharp pain, my heart would feel like it was fluttering for about 3 to 4 seconds. This whole thing would happen about every 3 months, but then it started happening more frequently. Now it's happening two to three times a month. I have a doctor's appointment for it in a few days, but I was just wondering what the doctor might suspect is wrong? What could be wrong with my heart?
A sharp localized left-sided chest pain is most likely muscle, but get it checked out anyway. Still, not likely to be serious. What could be wrong with my heart?
Interesting I have the same problemWhat could be wrong with my heart?
I believe the pain you're suffering is muscular strain, to reduce pain, try to use minimal amounts pills, instead physical interventions, such as ice %26amp; pressure. This will calm the muscles in the chest, and hopefully reduce pain, if in further doubt, re visit your doctor.

+ If you suffer any addtional symptoms such as heart palpatations, or dizziness, there could be a chance of a cardiac problem.
