I want to get a small furry house pet, I have had a hamster loved it but they sleep most of the day so it got slightly boring after a while. I have a dog but he's not allowed upstairs so it wouldn't cause any problems. I have considered rabbits and guinea pigs but I was wondering if there were any other options. The animal should also be easy to care for and cuddly. What is a good small house pet?
Bunnies. Nit so much easy to care for tho. Just have a space where theycun run for about 4 hours a day. They love to cuddle. And tootle his to feed them and care for them. Kay. Good muck hoped I helped
A kitty or a hedge hog :3What is a good small house pet?
Rabbits and Guineas both need quite a lot of space and room to run around - and could be bothered by the dog. Rabbits in particular can't be kept caged, they need room to roam.
What about Degus? Rat-sized Gerbils is what they look like. They like being kept in groups and need a nice large wire cage with solid floors - they are good chewers - and if handled quietly and sensibly will become quite tame. They live longer than rats, around 6-8 years.

Miniature pincher those little dogs are active and fun and easy to train.
rats. they are the best small pet ive ever owned. one of mine died last night, but I still have another 4. they love cuddling with me and they never bite
Gerbils
once tame, they crave attention
they are up during the day and night (they sleep for short periods of time)
they only need cleaning like once a week or less depending on the size of the tank
unlike rats (which i also love) they do not smell bad, in fact they don't really have much of a smell at all
you get to watch them dig tunnels
they should be kept in 2's or 3's as they are very social
they live for between 2 and 5 years
gerbils should be kept in a good sized tank or gerbilarium with around 8" of bedding to enable them to dig tunnels and exhibit natural behaviour
